All community members can contribute to shaping the Council Plan survey!

27 Oct by Tanya Maree Shelby

Dear All,

In late 2024, almost 2,000 community members contributed to shaping the Council Plan. This consultation ranked Sport and Recreation Facilities lowest (12th out of 12) in terms of community prioritisation.

As The City of Ballarat is prepares for its next Budget for the 2026/27 financial year the City of Ballarat is seeking to confirm whether those priorities still reflect community views via way of the MySay Budget 2026/27 consultation MySay Ballarat - City of Ballarat Budget 2026-2027.

This consultation provides an opportunity for sporting organisations and their members to advocate for sport-related projects and needs.

Although the Recreation Infrastructure Plan (RIP) has been adopted, it is subject to budget approval, therefore community advocacy for funding of the projects in the RIP remains very important. This consultation provides an opportunity for sporting organisations and their members to advocate for sport-related projects.
